When the pandemic came around and realization dawned that your home is your new 24/7 space, a lot of messy areas needed to now be cleaned out for peace of mind, free flowing thoughts and general blissfulness around the home. One such area was the dressing table in the bedroom! A place now seldom visited, but a spot so dear to me that I could not let it sit unattended. Plus, it adds to the pleasantness of my room, and thus had to be dressed up!

We all have our basics on our dressing table, and I won't get into those items but I will link those at the bottom. What I do want to write about are some quirky items that help keep the dressing table looking neat, clean & classy!





To be honest, before I got gifted a jewelry dish I was opposed to the idea of one. I used to think it cannot hold much anyway and thus would just take up space but it precisely does just that, and somehow adds value! It does not hold much, takes up space on your dressing table only to beautify it! Apart from adding to the look of my table, it holds just the rings and earrings that I use on a daily basis which saves me time in the morning, and does not leave me in a frenzy looking for basics! Highly recommend!

This may not be a dressing table hack necessarily but a jewelry organizing hack. Keeping chains, earrings and other accessories in containers or chests tangles the items up easily leading to damage. You are not able to even see all your options at a glance and thus I resort to keeping all my jewelry pieces in this transparent, easy to spot, clean and neat organizer. Hang it next to your dressing table mirror or place it aesthetically in your dressing area for added color and zing to the spot! 


Travelling and staying in hotels actually boosted my idea of getting a vanity mirror! The 1 to 5x zoom on these mirrors are ideal for make-up application, grooming & skin care. Though I do not have the one with tiers on it, I linked the one here which can be utilized much more than just a mirror. Hope you find this item useful!


Hunting down scrunchies at crucial times has made me resort to this being a necessity on my dressing table. This tower can act as a bracelet holder too! But having this on your table top will help you by default start putting your hair ties in one spot and one spot only. Once in the habit, you will find yourself mindlessly propping your hair tie on this tower and always having spares :-) The added colors on the table top will only make your corner bright. I also end up using my moisturizer and hair product bottles as towers for my scrunchies.


Cotton swabs, q-tips, cotton balls, make up pads all become a necessity when you use make up, either to remove make up or to fix make up. Having these items lying around is unhygienic and also not as aesthetic. These cotton swab and q-tip dispensers are great organizing hacks and also look nice. The ease of retrieving & storing make up pads and q-tips makes this a great item for your dressing table.  

Also, grab some basics while you are at it!

2020 has taken an unexpected turn for everyone in varying intensities, leaving most with the question of how to while away their time, CONSTRUCTIVELY, having found themselves left with abundance of free time.  Personally I spend a lot of time looking at DIYs, Recipes, Book Recommendations, Movie and Show Recommendations, and of course Immunity Boosting Tips and Tricks!
